ITV commissioned Howard Carter to tell an epic and captivating story about his discovery of the tomb of one of the forgotten pharaohs of ancient Egypt, the young king Tutankhamun. The story takes place in 1905, when we met the famous British archaeologist Carter in his early twenties, who was passionately leading an exploration team. In the chaos scattered throughout the valley, Carter's cold determination to search for lost artifacts was evident. He had an easy-going attitude towards the Egyptian soldiers who fought alongside him, but when he had a hot temper, Carter would have a hot head and put excavation and his career in danger. Due to the revocation of his excavation permit by the Cairo Cultural Relics Bureau, Carter has been ostracized for many years, dressed in disheveled clothes, living a difficult life, and relying on the sale of previously discovered archaeological relics to purchase food. A chance meeting with the British aristocrat, handsome, gentle, and eccentric Lord Carnarvon brought about a change in fate, as this passionate amateur needed an experienced archaeologist to help him carry out a series of random excavations. Carter and Carnarvon began the most unlikely friendship, despite their different backgrounds and personalities. Carnarvon enjoys privileges and lives quickly. He maintains confidence in Carter and continues to support him when no one else is willing. After years of searching, Carter and Carnarvon overcame numerous difficulties and spent huge personal expenses in 1921, successfully discovering the last resting place of this young king.
